"The buckles came in on Friday......unfortunately, I had already left town to go to a Boy Scout patch Trade-O-Ree but my wife called to let me know they had arrived. To say how grateful we are would be an understatement. You and your team have gone "Above and Beyond!" You win the ultimate "Customer Service" award and will go down in history. The whole class is waiting for me to drop it off this morning once it arrives. I will toast your team tonight!

I am writing you to thank you on for your above and beyond service and dedication to getting it right. You may have wondered what that phrase was that we had on our buckles. It means brotherhood above all, and your efforts to get us our buckles in time for our graduation is in the spirit of that phrase. To be honest with you, I have a habit of comparing companies customer service with that of the fire service, and am usually disappointed with the results. I thought this situation would be no different, but boy was I dead wrong! When my wife told me the story of what you all had to sacrifice to make this gift to my class possible, it was both inspiring and humbling. You should have been there to hear the roar of applause from 21 firefighters when Grace drove up to our academy grounds and presented that box of buckles to us! I will never forget it! Picture 21 firefighters, Captains, instructors, and Deputy Chiefs all wearing your creation together for one night that will never be forgotten by all of us. Pretty powerful stuff if you ask me. Since that day, we have all worn our buckles as part of our permanent uniform, and have presented remaining buckles to staff who have inspired us throughout our training process to become what we are today. Please let your staff know that they are now a part of our history, and that their efforts and hard work will never be forgotten! I am trying to get as many of us together to take a group picture with our buckles on to put faces to the event. I will try to get that to you soon. Please share this letter with all who were involved with this process as a sincere thank you for all your selfless sacrifice!

We did get the shipment last Thursday - we've been really busy, but I wanted to take the time to tell you how great they look and how pleased we are!
